Every win during a round contributes to filling the crystal charge meter. Once it is fully charged and all cascades are complete, the game triggers one of the following special effects:

  • Light Beam: Light is emitted horizontally and vertically from a chosen symbol, transforming all symbols in the affected row and column into other symbols.

  • Nova Blast: A symbol explodes, removing adjacent symbols. The explosion then retracts, forming a core of the same symbol.

Super Charge Feature

If you collect enough winning symbols to fully super charge the crystal charge meter during the same round, all wins—both those already achieved and those gained after activating a special effect—are multiplied by 3. This multiplier can only be triggered once per round.

Worlds and Pattern Clearing

Gemix features multiple worlds, each with three specific patterns. The active pattern appears on the game screen. Win on highlighted grid positions to clear the pattern and activate the next one for that world. Clearing all three patterns allows you to progress to the next world and awards a World Bonus, which increases with any win during a round.

Wild Symbols in Different Worlds

Each world introduces a unique wild symbol, which appears only in non-winning rounds to help form winning clusters by substituting for other symbols. Wilds are removed if they are part of a winning combination. The wild symbol behaviour varies by world:

  • Miner’s World: Up to 10 wild symbols can drop from the top, replacing regular symbols in random grid positions.
  • Princess’ World: An edge symbol is selected as a starting point, turns into a wild, and spreads to adjacent symbols up to the edge of the grid.
  • Wizard’s World: Up to 8 sticky wilds can appear anywhere on the grid. Sticky wilds remain in place for one round or until the crystal charge is activated, even if they are part of a win.
