The objective of the bonus game is to connect as many Gem symbols to your triggering combination as possible before you run out of lives.
When the bonus game begins, all symbols on the grid except the triggering Gem symbols clear.
You are awarded between 3 and 5 lives, represented by the number displayed on the triggering Gridlock symbol.
If you trigger multiple Gridlock games they are played one after another, with the lowest-paying Gem symbol combination going first.
The multiplier you begin the bonus game with is equal to the number of Gems you trigger the bonus game with.
Symbols of the same type then fall into the grid.
If any additional symbols connect to your combination, they are added to your total multiplier.
If you do not connect any additional symbols after a spin, you lose a life.
Any symbols that land in the grid persist through spins.
If you run out of lives, you are paid out the corresponding number of Gem symbols, multiplied by your awarded multiplier.
