The Scroll of Dead slot invites players on an adventurous journey through ancient Egypt, featuring mysterious symbols, immersive graphics, and thrilling bonus features, including expanding wilds and special free spin rounds, all set against an atmospheric backdrop evoking the enigmatic world of pharaohs and legendary scrolls.
Introduction to Scroll of Dead Slot
Scroll of Dead is an online slot developed by Play'n GO, offering an engaging ancient-themed experience. This game features 6 reels and 10 paylines, providing a variety of ways for players to achieve winning combinations. Beginner-friendly controls and customisable bet options make it accessible for all experience levels.
Understanding the Reels and Paylines
The action in Scroll of Dead unfolds across 6 reels and 3 rows. There are 10 paylines available, and wins are counted according to the information in the paytable and game rules. All wins on activated paylines in a round are added together, including winnings from Features such as Free Spins and combinations involving Scatter symbols.
How Wins Are Paid
Winning combinations pay from left to right, beginning with the reel furthest to the left. After each spin, all payouts are made at the end of the round. In Free Spins mode, there is a unique bonus: expanding symbols can complete winning combinations even when symbols have gaps between them, provided they form a valid pattern. These wins also pay from left to right, starting with any reel where a winning combination occurs.
Betting Options
You can tailor your bet according to your preferences. The minimum bet is £0.10 per spin, and the maximum bet is £5.00 per spin. The game allows you to configure:
- The number of active paylines per round
- The number of coins wagered per active payline
- The denomination of each coin
Your total stake is determined by these selections, and they remain fixed during a round in progress.
How to Adjust Your Bet
- Open the Settings: Access the Settings window to choose how many paylines you wish to activate, the number of coins per line, and the value of each coin.
- Increase or Decrease Paylines: Use + and - buttons to adjust the number of active paylines for the next round.
- Adjust Coins Per Line: Increase or decrease the amount wagered on each active line using the relevant controls.
- Change Coin Denomination: Modify the denomination of coins with the + and - buttons.
- Check the Paytable: View detailed information about payouts and symbol values by toggling the paytable.
- Start the Game Round: Begin play by pressing the Spin button. The outcome is determined once the reels stop and symbols are displayed.
Special Features and Symbols
Scroll of Dead includes distinctive features that enhance the gameplay:
- Locked 6th Reel: In the base game, the 6th reel is not active. It unlocks when the Free Spins feature is triggered.
- Scatter Symbol: The Scatter symbol can land on any reel. Obtaining 3 or more Scatter symbols activates the Free Spins feature.
- Wild Functionality: The Scatter acts as a Wild, substituting for all other symbols to help complete winning combinations. Wilds do not substitute within expanding symbol combinations during Free Spins.
Free Spins Feature
Landing 3 or more Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels will unlock Free Spins mode and the 6th reel. Players receive an initial 8 Free Spins. A random symbol is selected at the start of this bonus round to become a special expanding symbol. This symbol can form winning combinations on non-adjacent reels, and if a win is possible, all instances of the chosen symbol across the reels will expand for that round.
