Introducing Gronks Gems

Gronks Gems is an online slot developed by Hacksaw. It features a 6x6 grid with cascading win mechanics and engaging bonus rounds. Players join Gronk, a gem-collecting cave troll, on a quest where clusters of matching symbols can lead to wins of up to 7,500 times the bet amount.

Game Layout and Basics

  • Provider: Hacksaw
  • Grid: 6 reels by 6 rows
  • Minimum bet: £0.10
  • Maximum bet: £2

Gronks Gems is played by forming clusters of at least 5 adjacent matching symbols anywhere on the grid. Whenever you land a winning cluster, those symbols disappear, and new ones fall into place, potentially leading to additional wins within the same round.

How To Play

Adjusting Your Bet

Select your preferred stake using the arrows in the BET display. The available bet range is from £0.10 to £2.00 per round.

Starting the Game

Commence play by pressing the SPIN button or using the spacebar. The game displays your balance, bets, and winnings in your chosen currency for clarity during play.

Winning Combinations

Wins are achieved by connecting five or more matching symbols on adjacent positions. Each cluster pays according to the paytable, and all wins within a single round are added together. Cascading mechanics continue removing winning clusters and replacing them with new symbols until no further wins are possible in that round. The highest win for each winning way is paid.

Game Features and Special Modes

Charged Symbols & Epic Gem

  • Symbol types that are part of a winning cluster become charged and glow, with their icons shown in the charge bar above the grid.
  • Charged symbols remain active until the current spin concludes.
  • After all cascades, should no more wins appear, the Epic Gem scatter may land, transforming all charged symbols present into the highest paying charged symbol type displayed.
  • The Epic Gem then absorbs all charged symbols, counting them as a single winning cluster. The Epic Gem itself counts as four symbols in this process.
  • Upon absorption, the Epic Gem explodes, triggering another cascade for a fresh chance at further wins.
  • Charged symbols do not appear in the Gem Hoarder feature.

Gronk’s Treasure Feature

  • Triggered by landing three Gronk’s Head scatter symbols in the base game.
  • Awards 10 free spins with a heightened opportunity to land Epic Gem symbols compared to standard play.

Gem Hoarder Feature

  • Activated when three Gem Bag scatter symbols appear during base play.
  • Awards 5 refilling free spins.
  • If 3 Gem Bag symbols land during the feature, all 5 spins are refilled.

Progressive Global Multiplier in Gem Hoarder

  • Every winning combination in Gem Hoarder removes winning symbols and increases a global multiplier by the number of symbols removed.
  • Any cluster adjacent to an X-Gem symbol is multiplied by the current global multiplier.
  • If a cluster is next to more than one X-Gem, the multiplier is applied for each X-Gem symbol connected.

Special Symbols

  • The Epic Gem does not appear during the Gem Hoarder bonus.
  • The X-Gem symbol is wild, substituting for all paying symbols. It appears only in the Gem Hoarder feature.

Bonus and Free Spin Information

In free spin rounds, the win for each individual spin is shown in the WIN field. The accumulated total from all free spins in a bonus round appears in the TOTAL WIN field.

Maximum Win

The maximum possible payout in Gronks Gems is 7,500 times your bet. Should this amount be reached during any round, that round ends immediately, winnings are awarded, and if this occurs during a bonus, the feature ends and regular play resumes.

Additional Information

The game’s RTP is displayed in the paytable within the game screen.
